AMB 2016 – a successful exhibition
More than 1400 exhibitors have presented their products and services at AMB 2016, international exhibition for metalworking. Almost 90.000 trade visitors from more than 80 countries have visited the fair in the 5 days from the 13th until the 17th September 2016. Our sales team has taken this opportunity to cultivate its regional liaisons, as well as to establish new national and international contacts.
Our main focus was presenting our wide range of screw-mountable and weld-on lifting points, which represent secure solutions for lifting and transport of machines and plant. The AMB exhibition was the ideal platform for this purpose, opening its gates to a very target-oriented group of visitors.
By use of samples we had the opportunity to showcase the various advantages of our lifting points to the interested expert audience, as well as to answer directly any arisen questions. One of the key subjects was among others the clarification of the advantages of the rotating eyebolt SPK SUNPOINT in comparison to the conventional DIN 580 eyebolts.
The new generation of high-tensile SUNPOINT SPK eyebolts are 360° rotating even when the screw is completely tightened. The body of the Eyebolt aligns itself automatically into the lifting direction, effectively hindering possible security risks. The German Employers’ Liability Insurance Association strictly stipulates rotating lifting points for side liftings.
Another advantage of the SUNPOINT SPK Eyebolts is the higher Working Load Limit compared to the conventional DIN-Eyebolts. The same Working Load Limits are thus possible by considerably smaller thread holes.
All presented lifting points undergo a 100% electromagnetic crack detection. Furthermore the built-in installation wrench assures the tool-free fixing of this modern and economical product.
OSTALBKETTEN concluded its first ever participation at AMB as a positive experience.
